The collective imagination related to the idea of \u200b\u200breporter-photographer is often surrounded by a halo of myth fed is the biography of some of the most important representatives of this particular field of photography by working conditions that often refer to this profession. But reports do not mean only to be under the bombs in the front line. Reportage is also the geographic travel magazine, Reportage is one of National Geographic, but it also tells us what's news events, the world of entertainment, sports, news reports and industry, one that addresses social issues and / or ethnological. Being a photographer, or rather the photo journalist, also means addressing the portrait of a famous person, perhaps improvising a studio in his home or his office. But first of all do Reportage means learning to tell stories with images that we are facing, just like the journalist's pen, but with a more immediate and effective.

The course conducted by the photographer Francesco Cristiano Ostinelli Proietto and is addressed to those who want to explore some aspects of travel photojournalism.

We will try to analyze the current situation from a technical and stylistic with various investigations.

Topics covered:

- The report, what it is.
- Differences between the different types of reports: war, social, ethnic and travel.
- The importance of key elements of photography in reportage and ethnic
trip (the study of light, cutting in recovery, color, balance of the masses).
- The moved as a dynamic and expressive composition.
- The "times" of reportage, second or wait?
- The eye of the discreet photographer (portraits, action, real life)
- The black and white digital reportage.
- The photograph of the landscape and the most representative aspects of the territory.
- The management of exposure and color
- The use of focal
- post-production techniques will be briefly discussed during the course
- The course will be explained how and why to take pictures of using examples drawn from
of photographic reportage made by the authors.
- How to compose photographs balanced.
- How to choose the point of view.
- In what time of day to photograph.
- How to make good portraits.
- How to create picture-in-action
- How to photograph people

The course of travel reportage finally will give you the foundation for:

- Create a series of photographs.
- Choose a story to be photographed.
- Dealing with the 'photo archives.
- Take the opportunity to learn from professional photographers to take pictures.

The course is for a minimum of 10 people and will begin to reach members

Course duration: 2 sessions of two hours each.

Course location: Como Via Cadorna 20 / a Monday from 21.00 to 23.00


Course fee: € 50.00 per member (excluding the share of € 5 for entry to the association)
