Marrakech, Fabrizio and Francis.
leave from Milan Friday 22 October, in the morning.
Just over three-hour flight and landed in a magical world, at the northern limits of the African continent, which overlooks the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean and sank its roots in the great desert to the south ... Morocco.
Despite the large flows of organized tourism, the hundreds of films set in Morocco, the proximity to Europe and the consequent contamination of the tourist trade, the country has retained a unique charm of its people, its landscapes, for vestiges of a noble past and deserves a trip, even if briefly.
Upon arriving at the airport will take to bring us to Marrakech, where we take possession of our rooms, the city boasts a large number of hotels, but the best way to enjoy the true magic of Marrakech and stay in a typical riad (traditional house Marrakech, and are much more than just a B & B) The Riad is located in Medina and are ideal for a wonderful holiday because you can combine the uniqueness of Marrakech, the ease and convenience of staying in a luxurious traditional house.
Our Riad Riad Zara will not near the main piazza, but easily reachable with a quarter of 'time, however, pleasant stroll.
After that visit Marrakech, also known as the Red City, which embodies the idea more than others and the stereotypes of culture and traditions of the country. It is therefore an excellent starting point for those who want to know what Morocco can offer, and especially what will be the third millennium.
La Medina, declared World Heritage by UNESCO, was an imperial capital with a glorious past.
In the town red, craftsmen, painters and sculptors of various eras built magnificent places, mosques, gardens, mederasas. Among the most important places can not be forgotten the Badia Palace, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, graves Saadian, and Djemaa el Fna, a veritable open-air theater.
These are the places visited and photographed.
- Djemaa el Fna main square and most crowded, it is just the heart and symbol of the imperial city. A large open space, or rather a large stage where a vaguely triangular shape every day and 'can going to countless shows of jugglers, snake charmers, dancers and acrobats. Each defines its own "halqa" imaginary circle blessed by a holy man, and presents his show, a large square where traders gather in the morning fruit and spices, basket makers and sellers of trinkets. The name Djemaa el-Fna, which has itself a macabre, in fact his name means "gathering of the dead", a name once justified as public executions took place there.
- The Koutoubia Mosque, within walking distance of Djemaa el Fna, is the largest mosque in Marrakech. The minaret (equivalent of our bell tower) was built in 1184-1199 and became the model for the Giralda in Seville and the tower Hassan in Rabat.
- The souk of Marrakech is the vital heart of the medina, the old part of the city dating from the twelfth century, this is the place where ancient customs and traditions are mixed since ancient times. Originally, the souk was divided into several specific areas determined by the boundaries and the names involved in the activities that took place there, but over time this separation and blending outward.
The souk is a place where magic and charm and 'normal accept tea that is offered by the seller, so' how to negotiate the price of any item offered for sale is part of the game, a place where getting lost is never fun and dangerous' close to the Djemaa el Fna. It is said that both the largest market in North Africa.
- Medersa Ben Youssef is one of the jewels of Marrakesh. This school was built in 1570 by Quranic Saadiens, could contain up to 900 students in 150 cells.
- Quobba Almoravid (dome in Arabic) was a place of worship for believers. It is located just outside the mosque Ben Youseff, near the Ben Youssef Medersa.
- Mellah and Spice Market, is a typical neighborhood Jew (was the equivalent of the Ghetto) surrounded by walls. It is famous for its spicy markets.
During the half day off should visit the gardens that are the pride and joy of Marrakech, treated with a passion that has become a tradition centuries from the time of the Almoravids. The truth 'is that today there would probably not even a palm tree in Marrakech if these rulers had not started planting. Since then, the parks have increased and no one here is extraordinary that a garden, like a building, can claim an ancient origin. It 's the case, for example dell'AGuedal or Agdal, a word which means "garden, created in the twelfth century. Abd el-dall'almohade Moumen. More 'small and cozy and' the Menara garden, the pavilion surrounded by cypress trees which seems to have been the meeting place of the sultan with his favorites.
As for the famous palm grove of Marrakech, which occupies an area of \u200b\u200b13,000 hectares, it only counts from at least one hundred thousand trees. The system more 'quick visit is a ride in the car. More 'striking is the classic walk in a wheelchair, perhaps preceded by a tour of the ramparts and monumental gates in English Moorish style.
also recommend the Majorelle gardens situated north east of Gueliz. Created in the Twenties by the French painter Jacques Majorelle, unique in its kind, these gardens are home to bougainvillea, coconut trees, banana trees, palm trees, as well as rare and exotic plants, some of which have strange-looking menacing appearance.

You do not like tomatoes, you hate the idea that you can stain your shirt, you are a woman who wants their hair to be in good order?

Thousands of tomatoes (ripe fortunately ..) thrown into an insane battle of all against all. In the last year there were approximately 40,000 participants and between them no injuries .. serious.
This "battle" begins in 1945 where he had a group of young men began arguing at a party in the country, the fate would have it nearby is a grocery store with the tomatoes on display outside the store, the temptation is too great for one of them began to pull tomatoes until you have that others defend themselves with the same "weapon".
Now after more than 60 years the festival has become the most important event in the country and one of the most popular of Spain. For information and especially to know the rules that need to know to participate in the battle I recommend the official website of the festival:

Well done guys, especially for the effort .... good ....
The contest is more difficult, but it is increasingly difficult to choose the winners ....
especially when we take to blows between "masters" to decide ..... Then

great, shooting stolen unprepared then "true" and descriptive of a strong diversity, not only for colors, so strong and conflicting with each other, but also for the position of the feet of two people with the kind of shoe and sock define a diversity of style, age, social status ....
A strong diversity in a "simple" special but leaves a lot to the imagination of the two subjects, the two people that the particular shows.
Looking at your picture you can imagine the age, style, the faces of the two subjects.
Congratulations! Rated

excellent image, again a step stolen and not prepared, excellent technique, "courageous" is in the shot for having presented it as the only image in the contest, it means, in addition to a photo a certain maturity believe in their work.
diversity in this case is not the only blonde girl in the midst of other people more, which is the first thing you notice, but particularly the three that go up the stairs and only one that goes down.
excellent choice of square cut that gives stability to move a picture, excellent and the choice of the setting, an office, a public place, it is not clear, but a cold place, like the colors you used, like cold and busy blur. A photo
cold, frantic, a bit 'sad, well that says a cross-section of our society. An image
very good and very "mature" rating

Very nice, a real "street image" desired and sought after, difficult, easy, but at the same sophisticated way, not only for the diversity of the two still shots on a street where all "running", but mostly for the colorful display in a dark and gray, here's the real difference.
Here's what can make a trained eye to see and not just watching. Bravo

time ago, a lesson in the basic course, I forget which, I used this quote to explain a concept to Francis, and I realized that not everyone had understood the My sense of that quotation.
today looking at the site of the Magnum, just not to lose the good habit of looking at hundreds, thousands, millions of good photos, I came across this report by Antoine D'Agata titled "La Frontera" and I thought about that quote.
The report in question can be found here
And that is the same quote for other works by Antoine D'Agata as "Insomnia" that you find here
This is not to say that Antoine D'Agata has just been lucky in the wrong picture, as are many of you know all 4 C, this post I wanted to write to reinforce that quote made long ago ....
Think about it and continue to look at hundreds, thousands, millions of beautiful photos ....
